Ordering FAQs

General, Online Order & Warehouse Information

Our distribution warehouse is located in iZone on the edge of Rolleston – about a 20-minute drive from Christchurch.

We are not set up for visits from members of the public, but we do have a Click & Collect service in place. Orders need to be placed on our website and you will receive an email with details on how to collect your order once it’s ready for collection.

NZLA business hours are generally 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

Generally if an order is placed before 2pm Monday to Friday it will be ready within an hour. Please note this can be a little longer if we’re out doing a job around the city.

You will receive an email with details on how to collect your parcel when it’s ready.

All collections are contactless.

Shipping

Want your parcel ASAP?
For the most reliable, fastest and consistent performance, we offer Post Haste 2 day service to the North Island and overnight NZ Courier service in the South Island.

I need my parcel urgently.
NZ Courier in the South Island is an overnight service if you order before 2pm Monday to Thursday.

For North Island overnight deliveries, please contact us. It is an option to upgrade, but it’s not very cheap. We can however give you an accurate quote.

Rural.
Please note these time frames are not possible for rural deliveries. Add 1-2 days to the above target delivery time frames.

All delivery time frames are indications only. We can not guarantee these time frames will be met every time

All orders placed before 2pm Monday to Friday will be dispatched the same day.

Orders placed over the weekend will leave the warehouse on Monday.

Unfortunately this is usually not possible as parcels are loaded onto pallets for dispatch.

To add items to parcels that have already been scheduled for collection would mean unwrapping and unloading the pallets to find the order.

To find parcels that have been scheduled for collection would mean unwrapping and unloading the pallets to find the order. We also don’t offer refunds in change of mind situations or if items have been ordered incorrectly.

Tracking details are sent automatically to the email used at check out. These emails can often get filtered into your spam folder.

If you have not received an order confirmation email and tracking details it’s likely the incorrect email has been used at check out. Contact us via the Contact page and we can forward the details to you.

Returns

We do not offer refunds or exchange items when you have changed your mind or ordered incorrectly.

Lawn Advice

NZLA is a one-man band, operated by Jon Hicks. Unfortunately it’s not possible to reply to all emails and take calls from people looking for lawn advice.

Some days we have more than 20 emails from people wanting lawn advice (we’d never get any orders packed if we answered them all!)

We have a fantastic Facebook group where almost every possible lawn question you can think of has been asked. Here’s a link to the Facebook group.

Please use the search bar once in the group as your question would have been asked before. Search keywords like “control poa” or “dog burning lawn” or even “application rate for meso”.

No we don’t do home visits. You will occasionally see Jon dropping off orders if he’s driving that way or if it’s a large order.
