Ryobi vs Solo battery sprayer: which is better for lawn care?

Got two new battery sprayers one for herbicides and the other for lawn foods
Using the Ryobi as the plant food one today for the 1st time but when the water gets to two litres it doesn’t work correctly and the wand could be longer. Tried the solo one and this one is good to nearly empty but wand needs to be extended.
Has any of the members found this issue if so it would be good to know and it would also be good to know which will be the best battery sprayer.

It’ll be good to update this post in a couple weeks with the pros and cons of each and then the post can form a great comparison for people looking later! 👌

I can't comment on the sprayer performance as such sorry as I haven't used either of them, but I will agree that the Solo wands out of the box seem to be waaaay too short. A good upgrade is Solo code # 4900491 (telescopic carbon fibre wand).

I have the Ryobi 18V one and agree that it starts to ‘splutter’ before the liquid is finished. What I do is to remove it from my left shoulder and it only hangs over my right shoulder (at an angle) I can then use it to empty.
A little annoyed with the ‘cheap’ plastic wand, it also leaks a little by the trigger. If I can get that whole section replaced I think I would be happy with it.

@George A yes it also leaks on the new one I have to.

I started off with the ryobi one but found it didn’t have the consistency of coverage like the solo sprayer does. Haven’t used my ryobi since I made the change

@Emm Andrews I’m one of those with the lime green tinted glasses, so will stick with the ecosystem even though there are better things out there 🙈

Gear Update: I ended up returning the Ryobi sprayer and swapped it for the Silvan 12L Backpack.Unfortunately, it’s also going back tomorrow. Once I got it on my back with a couple of litres in the tank, the flow was constantly cutting in and out—it seems like the outlet location is a bit of a design flaw. It’s a real shame because the telescopic wand is actually a top-tier feature, but the inconsistent pressure makes it impossible to get an even hit of fert or pre-emergent.Hopefully, this helps any of you looking at the Silvan range. The search for the perfect sprayer continues!

Solo has a vast range of accessories, big range of i.s.o nozzles like tee jet fit . 2 nozzle boom setup to 4 nozzle boom 1m .
The standard 04 red 110 degree nozzle works well. If it drips and annoying to you a ball valve filter is a available with a 5psi cut out . Longer wands for tall guys . My pet peve is no swivel on the hose . Primarily work use with solo kit .
We ozito 3.5ltr battery unit is just ok , modified it . It too suffers from not quite emptying the tank . As it's handheld tilting to the pick up helps .

There's a lot of battery tanks now , most go for the Stihl units very pricey , forresty guys, heard a few go for the jacto 20 ltr has impressive gps and flow control but $1000 price tag . They do a 16ltr .
If using dyes rinse, clean tanks very well. New solo at work has a big sticker saying voids warranty 🤦 manual diaphragm 15ltr , leaked after 2nd use loose hose clamp , top lid seal pre cut from brand new no use , replacement before leaving shop . Noted after a few refills same seal almost fell out , need to keep an eye on that . Guys at spray shop said they use silicone grease in seals . . I've a love hate of solo tanks , only used the manual pump ones . I also have a knockoff of a matabi tank , has worked very well but manual pump . Check hose clamps periodically.
