Check brown blight . Just reading up on it . It's difficult to match visual leaf damage with fungal id . Nzsti app is ok . Oddly if blight it's another low fertility indicator. Not sure if brown patch is similar but botanical name of funguses is different.
Leaf spot is different again.
Brown blight came in as spring autumn, prolonged leaf wetness, low fertility. Mild temps which almost matches the current NZ conditions. The thiram fungicide lawn pro , be a choice.
Some info said if it's brown blight said it doesn't kill the roots so can recover with cultural practices. Fertility or element deficiency can appear similar to fungus.
Click on Tools > Lawn Tips and there’s heaps of great guide in the app for fungal problems
Leaf spot, those brown lesions with the tan centres running along the blade are the classic sign. Common for this time of year.
Melting out’s actually the next stage of the same disease, not a separate thing. Leaf spot starts with those lesions on the blade like you’ve got here, and it becomes melting out once it moves down into the crown and starts rotting the base of the plant out, that’s when you get whole patches thinning and dying rather than just spotted leaves.
Fungus Pro will help as a curative but I’d also look at getting down some Azoxy in the tank too which will help as a bit of a preventative. If you use the new category search tool, there’s a topic for this with some other posts and answers in it.
@Jonny Hicks Rather than me waste the time of the pros on here helping others could you confirm if I have the same issue and should follow the advice you just posted here? I came here to post about it, and saw this post which would have been potentially the same issue with the same resolution. Cheers!
@David van Schreven yes this is leaf spot lesions you can see.
@Jonny Hicks awesome thanks, i plan to get a mix of fungus pro, azoxy and iron+ down all in the same tank which i hope will sort it.
@David van Schreven yeah, leave it on the plant for as long as possible as fungus pro is contact and is useless once it’s washed off the foliage.
