Creeping bent in Kikuyu — best way to target it?

Have a Kikuyu lawn with scattered creeping bent (thin red stolons, ID’d on the NZSTI app). Too spread out to hand-pull.

I know Meso isn’t labelled for Kikuyu, but it lists bent as controlled. Is there a safe way to use it on Kikuyu (spot-treat, lower rate), or another option? Or is it just a matter of letting summer Kikuyu growth outcompete it?
