Winter struggle | lawn edge
Kikuyu in Auckland. This edge gets more shade and stays wetter through winter. During heavy rain water can pool here briefly, but it usually soaks away pretty quickly. I’ve also noticed a bit of moss starting to appear on the exposed soil.
Worth hitting it with Penetrate now? Would you also do a light reno with some seed and lawn soil, or just leave it until summer and focus on improving the soil over winter?
Didn’t you just post about this the other day? I made a comment on your last post. It’s warm-season grass in winter, not much you can do until soil temps increase. You could take some plugs from other parts of the lawn as it looks really healthy and transplant them there. Again not much will happen with cold soil temps but will help make it look better.
You sure there’s no concrete under that soil? That’s odd. I don’t think it’s shade related.
