MSF600 application rate
Hi guys, I have a small Kikuyu lawn around ~45-50sq mtr.
I am treating oxalis/light broadleaf weeds and trying to understand the MSF600 rate.
From what I am reading a very typical mixing rate is:
* 1 gram of MSF600 per 10 litres of water
* That usually covers about 100 square metres
My usual application rate for NZLA products is 4litres of water as the carrier when I walk across my lawn.
Given that should I use 0.5g of MSF600 in 4litres of water for my ~50sq lawn or would that risk harm to the Kikuyu and should I stick to 10 litres?
Also is 0.5g accurate for my lawn size?
Thanks in advance.
I was also stuck with application rates and water volume, have you seen there is a category on sprayer calibration if you use the category filters? Answered my questions.
@Toni Fitzgerald ah yes I didn’t see that category in the app, but can see it on the website. So my usual 4L water volume won’t risk harm, and I believe 0.5g is accurate for 50sq
@Nick M If your sprayer with 4L covers 100sq then your 50sq should only use 2-2.5L . You would then put the 1/2 100m2 rate in that lower amount of water.
@Toni Fitzgerald the 4L covers the 50sq 😊
1-2g per 100m2. So for 50m2 would be 0.5-1.0g. Best to start with lower rate if it's your first time using it. Water volume is whatever sprayer is calibrate to for that area.
