Do you halve water volume when halving lawn application rate? (50m² sprayer calibration guide)

Maybe silly question but my front lawn is about 50 squares so I halve the application dose. Do I also halve the water volume or keep it at 5 litres?👍

Filter categories are being added to the app soon. They’re already live on the website view, and the team is currently working through integrating them into the in-app UI.

You might have already seen this covered in a post last week — here’s a link to the Sprayer Calibration filter:

The easiest way to get this right is to do a quick calibration with plain water. Fill your sprayer, walk the area like you normally would, and see how much water you use to cover the 50m². Whatever that amount is, that’s what you mix your product into, so you know the tank is empty once done and you’ve applied everything evenly and at the correct rate. For 50m², I’d expect you to use approximately 2–3L of water.

Once you’ve got that dialled in, just repeat it each time and you’ll get consistent, even applications.

Having 50m² makes it easy because whatever the rate is for 100m², halve it, then put it into the amount of water from your calibration test.
