Irrigation pipe trench settling. How do I fix low spots in my lawn?

Hi Team

I had irrigation installed approx 5 months ago, very pleased with it however since then my lawn has gradually sunk where the pipe was laid and now is around 50mm in some places, full of grass however, how would I go about rectifying this, just cover the grass and reseed in spring or slowly fill it??

I had something similar where I put a drain in. Was a case of routinely topping it up bit by bit until it settled. Form memory I did one good top up with seed then just top dressed it from then on

Slowly build it up with topdressing. Apply a light topdressing, 10–15 mm at a time using a decent sandy loam or your usual topdressing mix. Work it into the canopy with a levelling rake so the leaf is still exposed. Let the grass grow through, then repeat every few weeks until you’ve brought it back up to level. Given you’ve got around 50 mm to recover, you’re realistically doing this over a few rounds.
