How to prepare and seed a new lawn in spring
Please could you help me schedule works to put seed down around this pool area. It was prepared too late in Autumn, so put off seeding as this area can be heavily frosted. Last Autumn I sprayed with round-up, then hoed it all up, raked smooth and then dumped good quality lawn soil on top. Nothing has been done since so I would like to know how to start again now that I’m wanting to seed as soon as possible.
I have a few NZLA products - including the tall fescue TFL? seed ready to go but I will purchase if additional products are required of course.
Just follow the NZLA renovation guide, you can't go wrong.

Aerate, scarify, give it a really good feed, and overseed.
@Garry B what about all the weeds?
@stef b glyphosate. It’s not like you’re trying to save any of that? Reno the lot, then you can level it all out and do it properly.
Ok great thanks so much. Any advice on the rate? Or something stronger to be clear of it all? Also will do pre-emerge and grubs after?
