Forum post titles – forum information

One of the good things with the forum is that we can manually change post titles. You’ll probably see me doing this about a week after a post has been live.

The reason is consistency, and to make sure posts fit into the right category once categories are rolled out, so they’re easier to find later. It also helps people searching the forum know exactly what a post is about.

If the original poster hasn’t used a clear title, we’ll just add one if it’s a post we think is worth categorising, especially if it has useful comments or information.

For example, if the title is “Weed Spray” but the post is actually about controlling grass weeds in a new fine fescue lawn, I’ll change it to something like “Controlling grass weeds in a new fine fescue lawn”.

The content of the post won’t be changed, only the title.
