Which Ready Lawn grass to buy in Christchurch?
I’ve just completed the prep of my 128m2 lawn in Rangiora and want to purchase the ready lawn…
Pretty sure I don’t want a blended grass.. but unsure if I go for full Rye or Full Fescue?
Understand NZLA products are for the seed but I want it now 🙂 but want access to these products to maintain the lawn once laid…
Seriously, don’t waste your money on Ready Lawn. You’ll have just as much work keeping it moist while the roots establish as you would keeping newly sown seed moist. With current soil temperatures, you should be seeing ryegrass germination within about a week.
Use the NZLA Seed Selector tool to find the best grass type for your lawn and go with seed instead. You’ll save yourself a considerable amount of money. Plus, a lot of Ready Lawn can come with Poa contamination, and some products contain fescue in the seed blend, which may not be what you want.
