Product Overview

Weeds Controlled

NZLA Gold controls a wide variety of common lawn weeds found throughout New Zealand, including cape daisy, catsear, chickweed, clovers, convolvulus, cotula, cudweed, daisy, dandelion, dichondra, docks, hawkbit, hawksbeard, hydrocotyle, mallow, mayweed, nettles, onehunga weed, creeping oxalis, parsley piert, plantain, pearlwort, penny royal, ragwort, shepherd’s purse, sorrel, storksbill, thistles, twin cress, and wireweed.

Tougher weeds such as buttercup, selfheal, and yarrow may only be suppressed, and perennial species like Californian thistle may need repeat applications.

How to Apply

The application rate is 40-60ml per 100m2 in 5L of water per 100m2.

For best results, spray in spring or early summer when weeds are actively growing. Avoid spray drift onto desirable plants, trees, or shrubs, as serious damage can occur.

Safety and Turf Compatibility

Check turf species before use. NZLA Gold is not suitable for Kikuyu or Couch lawns. On newly sown lawns, wait at least 12 months after germination before applying. Keeping your lawn healthy through regular fertilising and watering helps prevent weeds from re-establishing. Reseed any bare patches in autumn.

For hard-to-control or mature weeds, mix NZLA Gold with NZLA Sticker to improve spray adhesion and absorption.

Aftercare and Disposal

Avoid mowing for 24 hours. Do not compost lawn clippings for six months after application. Either leave them to decompose naturally on the lawn or dispose of them in general waste.
